How to make Useful Pretty Things for Home/Office from Used Recycled Plastic Bags
68
It can be called recycling or upcycling and it's a pretty good way to reuse those plastic bags and make new stuff for different uses.
Way too much plastic gets in our hands and ends up being trashed when it actually has lots of potential.
You can make lots of things without hard work or the need for any special talents. One thing that you have to have besides the used plastic bags itself is the desire to create something out of almost nothing and the other is the knowledge of some very basic craft techniques that are not much more difficult than using household scissors.
So with all that in place you're well equipped and all good to go.
Not very much time is needed to make this creations to introduce them into your home or office environment.
As the pictures show a bag of used grocery bags was used to make a cute handbag that will last for quite a long time and is washable and fashionable.
The cup or glass coasters are another clever creation which can also serve as dish-washing scrubbers should you not need the coasters.
To make the handbag and coasters you'll need to cut your used plastic bags into longest possible strips and use knitting needles or a crochet hook.
The Holiday wreath is another useful thing to make, you'll have to cut a bunch of bags into oval or rectangular/square shape strips of similar sizes and tie them around a wire frame which can also be a recycled product of a wire hanger or a new wire wreath frame can be used.
The home or office door will be a nice display for it.
The bracelets are also a very simple thing to make by cutting longer strips of plastic and wrapping them around plain undecorated bracelets.
What do you think about these creations?
Is it something you'd want to do to give those one time use bags a longer lasting beauty treatment?
