Ever since email was created people were concerned with the same questions they have about their regular traditional mail.

How to keep their addresses safe from those who have a lot to offer which is not necessarily what the owner of the mail box is interested in. Receiving too much mail makes it harder to find the piece you really need to receive, the piece you are waiting for, it makes it difficult and time consuming to sort through and organize all that mail not to mention it takes extra time to look at the new unfamiliar mail piece just to decide you didn't really need to look at it at all in the first place.

While there is a lot of recommendations and suggestions written about how to recycle paper such as making new paper and paper products from used paper, using newspaper to make sun hats and as cloth when washing windows, making handmade paper at home, recycling paper by taking it to the recycle centers, and artists have accomplished great results recycling junk mail by making jewelry and art from junk mail and used paper, there is less information on making something from and obvious uses for junk email especially because it's not quite clear how you can recycle something that doesn't really exist, email while it's quite apparent isn't a tangible item and so may not be as effectively recycled.

I compiled a few ideas here on how one can quite effectively recycle junk email or at least it comes to the recycling process as close as it can in a sense that it's a type of repurposing or reusing something you don't need and used once and making something reasonably useful and new out of it.

Some of these ideas are explained here in the following paragraphs:

Save the senders' addresses and send them your own advertisements or links you want them to visit.

This could be links to your web sites, blogs, profile pages, affiliate product pages, public announcements, private announcements, news you want to share, poems you've written and want someone to read, anything you want to get the word out about.

When you collect enough addresses from your received junk emails you can assemble your own email list and offer it to others for free or for fee to do whatever they please with it. The title of your email list would be 'miscellaneous' or you can make separate lists from one email list if you keep track of the addresses and tag each one of them appropriately at the time when you receive another piece of junk email. Some of them may be making money opportunities and others may be about politics, nutritional products, etc.

But all of them can be put into one list as 'miscellaneous' or 'money making info recipients' since the initial purpose of all those emails that you receive and consider junk mail is to somehow make money for the sender by convincing you to buy a product they advertise or visit a web site or page where the potential money making information is located. It doesn't matter whether they want you to buy a product or sign up for some affiliate programs, all of it is for the purpose of generating income for the referrer/sender, thus the referrers/senders can be considered targeted receivers for the same type of information.

When you have a long list of those addresses the reason you might want to give it out for free is to continue to collect more addresses and make your list even longer, perhaps at some point you can divide it into two lists and later on you may have not one but a few or several or many of those lists.

You can offer this list for free on free classifieds sites and this way you will be getting more emails with the requests for your list with a lot of them or mostly all containing another unsolicited offer or information which again will fully classify them as junk or spam email. This will bring you more email addresses to add to your list and your list will continue getting bigger and bigger and bigger. Or longer, whichever sounds better and more exact to you.

The text of the junk/spam emails can sometimes be partly recycled if it has something interesting in it.

You can use some parts of the text for composing newsletters for yourself, your boss or organization; you can use it to write brochures for your work or business or you can use the parts you like for your own advertising and classifieds. If you find parts in the junk/spam email that you like you can use them 'as is' or change it to suit your writing style better and save yourself some time when composing your own mailings.

If junk/spam email you receive has some catchy phrases, you can use those for your facebook statuses or in online chat and even in a conversation on skype, on the phone or in person as well. You can save them in a separate text or word document and call it something like 'text to go'. It's more helpful if you make a shortcut to it and put it on your desktop so you can copy and paste those phrases easily and fast without having to look for the file.

That's it for now. I will add more ideas to this as I discover them.
